Arizona Agates

I have only made it to this location once as of this writing. I have heard a few people dismiss this area for not producing quality agate - I can agree and disagree with that statement. If you are into fortification agate then you may want to cross Perkinsville off your list to visit. However if you enjoy agate with inclusions then there is a reason to explore and collect here. Most of the agate here is what I like to call "Strawberry Agate" which is one way of describing the red dots that are in the white chalcedony which in strong concentrations give the agate a Pinkish to Red "hue" I have found some of this agate with banding in it as well as "poppy" like inclusions as well.
