Arizona Agates

a website and gallery of my personal collection as well as specimens offered for sale.

Cardinal Agate Gallery

This a new discovery from Western Arizona, found by myself and friend Jace Romeo in an isolated seam during a hike in the desert. No other agate or Jasper deposits exist in the immediate area.

The seam where this agate is located occurs in a unique conglomeration of soft rock and Jasper. The Jasper also occurs as water level banding within the agate.

Jace came up with the name "Cardinal" agate cause of the shades of Red bands that occur in this agate and well because I couldnt come up with anything better... LOL!!!   :o)

None the less it is a good name for such a great agate
